Why we publish exclusions, not just fitments
On a 6T40/6T45, the left and right output shaft seals are not interchangeable. 24230682 is right-hand. 24230715 is left-hand. We have found supplier catalogues that list these two numbers reversed — including within the same catalogue.
Fitting the wrong side means pulling the transmission a second time. The workshop does not lose the price of the seal — it loses the labour. That is the failure we are trying to remove from your order.

Exact OE number
No "equivalent to" and no size-only listings. The OE number is the identity of the part.
Transmission code + year range
6T30 / 6T40 / 6T45, generation where it matters, and the model years the part covers.
Explicit exclusions
What the part does not fit, and which numbers it must not be cross-sold with.
Left / right designation
Stated on the page, and written into the number itself — so it survives the quote, the packing list and every copy in between.
Verification status
Confirmed, probable, or unverified — shown openly. We do not present an assumption as a fact.
Open questions
Where the data is not closed, the page says so and tells you what to check against your VIN.
